Optimize your sports performance through athletic PT & acupuncture
Expect the most advanced treatment from your professional physical therapist
Through years of experience working with prominent athletes and alongside other sports medicine professionals, I practice and always stay up-to-date with new, cutting-edge methods to treat issues.
By constantly improving upon and developing my own combination of sports therapy, I have worked side-by-side with a number of professional athletes, helping them run personal bests, win titles, and even place in the Olympics. Now, I’m providing this same method of treating sports injuries in my personal practice in San Diego.
A more efficient process shaped for injury rehabilitation
The difference between a majority of sports therapy methods and my blend of physical therapy and acupuncture is that I’m searching for a long-term solution by addressing the problem from the source, which might not always be where the pain is coming from.
Every patient is different. Some require treatment a few hours before competing, while others can be resolved in a single to a few sessions.
Physical therapy and acupuncture in one session
I am continuously progressing and finding new ways to solve problems. With that, I’m always picking up new methods to solve athletic issues. In my years of expertise, a method that has worked best with athletes is my unique combination of physical therapy and acupuncture in one session, which includes the following techniques:
Distal Point Theory Acupuncture
Dry
Needling
Myofascial
Cupping
Kinesio
Taping
Rehabilitation
Exercise Program
Pilates or
Yoga Therapy
I’ve worked with everything from overhead injuries to runner’s injuries. While I’ve successfully treated a myriad of different cases, some of the most common problem areas that patients come to me for include:
Hamstring
Upper & lower back
Shoulder
Rotator Cuff
Knee
Client Spotlight: Hyleas Fountain
Hyleas Fountain was a multi-sport athlete who I worked with throughout her career. In between and after events, I would give Fountain an acupuncture treatment to relieve soreness. Through her time as a heptathlete, where I was fortunate enough to be her sports therapist, Fountain was able to win 6 national titles and a silver medal in the 2008 Olympics.
