Expect the most advanced treatment from your professional physical therapist

Through years of experience working with prominent athletes and alongside other sports medicine professionals, I practice and always stay up-to-date with new, cutting-edge methods to treat issues.

By constantly improving upon and developing my own combination of sports therapy, I have worked side-by-side with a number of professional athletes, helping them run personal bests, win titles, and even place in the Olympics. Now, I’m providing this same method of treating sports injuries in my personal practice in San Diego.

A more efficient process shaped for injury rehabilitation

The difference between a majority of sports therapy methods and my blend of physical therapy and acupuncture is that I’m searching for a long-term solution by addressing the problem from the source, which might not always be where the pain is coming from.

Every patient is different. Some require treatment a few hours before competing, while others can be resolved in a single to a few sessions.

In-Office Sessions

When you step foot into my sports clinic, we will begin with a structural evaluation. We’ll see what’s tight, what’s weak, and exactly where the problem is coming from. The idea is to assess how your body is moving structurally, including the parts outside the area of stress.

From there, we’ll discuss next steps, whether it’s a physical therapy program, kinesio taping, myofascial cupping, or acupuncture.

Sports Events Services

For years, I’ve worked as a specialized sports therapist to professional athletes prior to, during, and after sports events.

With these patients, the goal is to relieve chronic pain prior to taking on the stage, court, or field, and reducing post-event soreness. In the past, my specialized treatment has been correlated to many prominent athletes’ best performances.

Physical therapy and acupuncture in one session

I am continuously progressing and finding new ways to solve problems. With that, I’m always picking up new methods to solve athletic issues. In my years of expertise, a method that has worked best with athletes is my unique combination of physical therapy and acupuncture in one session, which includes the following techniques:

Client Spotlight: Hyleas Fountain

Hyleas Fountain was a multi-sport athlete who I worked with throughout her career. In between and after events, I would give Fountain an acupuncture treatment to relieve soreness. Through her time as a heptathlete, where I was fortunate enough to be her sports therapist, Fountain was able to win 6 national titles and a silver medal in the 2008 Olympics.
